Hungry Dog Theatre Company is a fledgling theatre company based in High Wycombe. We are currently comprised of five actors and one director. Each of us has a love for performance in many of it's forms and it is because of this that we are delighted to explore our own position in the world through the art of theatre.

We aim to explore the subjects that make our already chaotic world that little bit more chaotic. We hold no apprehension when it comes to taboo topics and welcome you to our world of mayhem where we might just explore your dirty little secrets.

We are called Hungry Dog as everyone in the world is hungry for something. there is not one person that doesn't want something, and the topics that we explore are a direct result of this. it just also happens that the topics we explore are vicious and snap at the heels of the spectator, ensuring they will not leave the space untouched.

We use stark naturalism in combination with a multitude of theatrical techniques to create thought provoking and deviously entertaining theatre. With the aid of a range of theatrical styles, innovative stagecraft, interactive sets and a Pandora's box of scripts, we create theatre that is affective and memorable for everyone involved. 

 

Each of us is a student at Buckinghamshire New University, in our third and final year of the Performing Arts (Film, TV and Stage) course. This is our first solo venture into the world of theatre and we are excited to branch off and explore our own creativity and apply it to a theatrical piece. 

 

Each member of our team has a diverse range of skills, which means that we each bring something new to the table allowing our theatre company to become more well rounded. It also means that within our creative process we are able to explore a plethora of skills and areas to improve the final product. The effect of this can be seen as our performances are ambitious and interesting, with every aspect linking into itself. this provides the audience with the chance to truly deconstruct and take something away from our performance.
